Are you interested in appearing at WasabiCon NOLA?

Thank you for your interest in being considered for participation in this year’s WasabiCon! Talent at our convention falls under four categories. Please read the following to determine which category you’re best suited for and and then fill out this year’s talent application. Please note that all applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this year’s lineup.

Media Guest

You are a professional voice actor, celebrity, or other industry creator who works directly in the film, television, or gaming business. This can sometimes apply to streaming talent, but only on a nationally/globally recognized level. If you fall under this category, then don’t fill out this form. Instead, you or your talent agent should reach out to [email protected]. MEDIA TALENT are denoted by Guest Badges.
You are an artist, cosplayer, performer, or streamer whose work pertains to Asian pop culture, cosplay, or gaming. FEATURED TALENT are issued Talent Badges and get a 6'x8' space in the Exhibitors Hall or, based on availability, in another designated area within the convention. Additionally, FEATURED TALENT are expected to provide a minimum of two (2) hours of programming content which may include panels, workshops or - upon our request - being a judge for one of the convention's many competitions. NOTE: Musical acts and DJs would fall under this category.

Featured Talent

You are an artist, cosplayer, performer, or streamer whose work pertains to Asian pop culture, cosplay, or gaming. FEATURED TALENT are issued Talent Badges and get a 6’x8′ space in the Exhibitors Hall or, based on availability, in another designated area within the convention. Additionally, FEATURED TALENT are expected to provide a minimum of two (2) hours of programming content which may include panels, workshops or – upon our request – being a judge for one of the convention’s many competitions. NOTE: Musical acts and DJs would fall under this category.
You are a club, group, organization, fandom convention, or podcast that pertains to Asian pop culture, cosplay, or gaming. COMMUNITY GROUPS are issued Talent Badges and get a 6'x8' space in the Exhibitors Hall. Additionally, COMMUNITY GROUPS are expected to provide a minimum of two (2) hours of programming content which may include panels, workshops or - upon our request - being a judge for one of the convention's many competitions.

Community Groups

You are a club, group, organization, fandom convention, or podcast that pertains to Asian pop culture, cosplay, or gaming. COMMUNITY GROUPS are issued Talent Badges and get a 6’x8′ space in the Exhibitors Hall. Additionally, COMMUNITY GROUPS are expected to provide a minimum of two (2) hours of programming content which may include panels, workshops or – upon our request – being a judge for one of the convention’s many competitions.
You have a strong social media following that pertains to Asian pop culture, cosplay, or gaming. INFLUENCERS are issued a Talent Badge and are asked to post content before, during, and after the convention. INFLUENCERS do not receive promotional space in the Exhibitors Hall and have no programming requirements. However, they are welcome to host panels if time and space are available. INFLUENCERS will be listed under the FEATURED TALENT category.

Influencer

You have a strong social media following that pertains to Asian pop culture, cosplay, or gaming. INFLUENCERS are issued a Talent Badge and are asked to post content before, during, and after the convention. INFLUENCERS do not receive promotional space in the Exhibitors Hall and have no programming requirements. However, they are welcome to host panels if time and space are available. INFLUENCERS will be listed under the FEATURED TALENT category.
